Who We Are

Pulse Recruitment has been operating in the recruitment industry since 2004, specialising in GTM, tech sales, and SaaS recruitment across Australia and New Zealand. Pulse GTM is our dedicated job board connecting candidates and employers in this space.

If You're a Candidate

We may collect:

Name, contact details, and date of birth
Resume/CV content, work history, qualifications, and skills
Work rights and eligibility information
Account login details
Job preferences, salary expectations, and career interests
Communications between you and employers or Pulse Recruitment through the platform

If You're an Employer

We may collect:

Company name, ABN/ACN, and billing contact details
Job advertisement content and hiring criteria
Account login details
Communications between you and candidates or Pulse Recruitment through the platform

How We Collect Your Personal Information

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

Create a candidate or employer account
Apply for a job or post a job advertisement
Use the messaging feature to communicate with another platform user

Automated Decision-Making: Our AI Hiring Assistant

Pulse GTM uses an AI Hiring Assistant, built on the WorkScout platform and powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o, to assist with reviewing job applications. The AI Hiring Assistant scores submitted applications across four categories: Skills Match, Experience, Communication, and Cultural Fit.

Importantly, the AI Hiring Assistant does not make hiring decisions on its own. Every application is reviewed by a human recruiter or the relevant employer before any decision is communicated to a candidate. The AI Hiring Assistant’s scores are a tool to assist human decision-makers, not a substitute for human judgment.

The personal information used in this process is drawn from the content of your submitted application, including your resume and any responses provided as part of the application process.

Sensitive Information

We will only collect sensitive information (such as information about your health, or membership of a professional or trade association) with your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to:

Employers, in relation to a job application you have submitted
Candidates, where an employer initiates contact through the platform
Our service providers, including hosting, payment processing, email marketing (Mailchimp), and AI service providers

Overseas disclosure: Some of our service providers are located overseas. In particular, our AI Hiring Assistant is powered by OpenAI, which is based in the United States, and application content may be processed by OpenAI’s systems as part of this service. We take reasonable steps to ensure our overseas service providers handle your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies and Website Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, understand how visitors use it, and improve our services. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Direct Marketing and Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter or career advice updates via Mailchimp, we will use your email address and name to send you relevant content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.

Data Security and Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy. Candidate data is generally retained for 24 months from your last activity on the platform, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified, unless you request earlier deletion. Employer account data is retained until the account is cancelled, plus a reasonable wind-down period.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us using the details below. We will investigate and respond to your complaint. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
